Sandbox
Every app lives in its own sandbox and sees only its own containers; access to other files goes only through system pickers (UIDocumentPickerViewController, PhotosPicker) and security-scoped URLs. Container paths change between installs and even launches, so you store relative paths and re-resolve absolute ones through FileManager.
